Day 1 of the challenge, and it was hell at the gym. A week off and probably overdoing it a little on the eve of the challenge – you know, to get it out the system – meant for a punishing first circuit. Ideally I’d have weighed in, but was late to the class – I shall update you on the starting statistics at tomorrow’s weigh in.

  • Exercise: 9 lots of 4 * 40 second exercises in the cardio including my ‘favourite’ – burpees; might as well be called sickies as I certainly don’t feel red hot having done a few; struggled through, feel better for having started off with a hard session
  • Eats: a black coffee for breakfast is probably not textbook consumption, but let that be the low water mark for now; lunch was a coconut chicken salad from the local Kirribilli cafe The Cactus Flower, dins – a bloody large salad and a piece of snapper in chilli and lime; notes: curly kale is quite hard to get down … it’s so dry!
  • Cheats: none! Woohoo – Day 1 and still on the horse!!
