Feeling a bit lethargic if truth be told; the prospect of the gym class has not thrilled me, but off I go. Weights today and a home truth – if you do the exercises with the correct technique, turns out they are much harder to do … my poor triceps…
- Exercise: tick – F45 weights class; oddly in spite of not feeling that up for it, and with shoulders akin to how Atlas’ must have felt holding up the world I was expecting to fail. However, a (recent – since DadBod was achieved) personal best on the push-ups – 40 in the 4 sets; not impressive to many, but a small achievement for me.
- Eats: no brekkie – I usually can’t get through the morning without a nibble of something, but today just forged on to an early lunch – which was perilous … meeting my brother for a bite at the pub (Greenwood Hotel, North Sydney); what a cruel temptation; anyway I came through reasonably well – a carafe of water and a spicy squid salad … which was too small – back at home an apple and a couple of slices of vegemite on toast had to suppress the tummy grumbles! Dins – more leftover salad and yummy salmon with lime and black pepper.
- Cheats: depends if you call the spicy squid a cheat … it was fried afterall. I’m saying not. Still on track – BOOM!
