Oddly don’t feel too bad first thing; give Baby V a kiss as she snoozes and head up the road for the cardio punishment that awaits. You know what – I am ok today; obvs can’t quite complete every set as enthusiastically as I would like, and let me tell you that transitioning from an inchworm to a shoot-through is a new trick. And I am an old dog. Almost folded in the evening; “TGW” was out with friends and I was on duty with V; hot day usually makes for cool beer as a reward and the prospect of a zero percenter was on the cards but I, at the last minute, tapped the last drops of my daily reserve and had water instead. Hurrah.

  • Exercise: cardio – oh my word; 20/20/20/40/60 … eek … a couple of the stations did not get the full effort else cardio would have been the ward I’d have ended up on at Royal North Shore.
  • Eats: brown toast and black coffee (a theme of sorts) for brekkie; interviewing a nanny to help look after V as we are both back to work (albeit from home) meant for a Caesar salad of the chicken variety – nice sprinkling of anchovies – that most devisive of ingredients that I happen to love; dinner – does this class as a cheat … a bolognese thing with macaroni?
  • Cheats: in light of needing to be energy ready for tomorrows kayaking adventure, I’d say a few macaronis is ok. I’m claiming cheat free!!
