Pureed peas… well how hard can this be? My daughter moved on from breast milk to formula and pureed foods around the 3 and a half month mark and I decided – like many first time parents – to do things properly. This meant purchasing a dedicated puree machine (note to others – unnecessary; any old blender will do a job) and buying some fresh baby peas (note to others – also unnecessary; frozen baby peas will save you much time and cursing).
Shelling the peas took no less than half an hour. It was a labour of love. The sum total of my efforts, impressive to my eye, less impressive to others.
Now the fun part – getting my blender involved; funnily enough it did not take that long to blend this mighty mountain of peas…
And finally; the finished product…. enough to fill the special baby food storage thing you’d imagine…. oh no, not on your nelly.
So, to the Michelin star review…. did my daughter like the lovingly prepared pea puree – an hour in the making….
No. No she did not.
